The stranger barged in...
The stranger barged in; he said, ‘Kindly hide me somewhere; close on my heels are some people, all armed with weapons; they want to kill me.’
The owner of the shop acted quickly, he asked the stranger, ‘Come here behind the counter; hide under it’ I appeal to all the people sitting in the shop to act as if nothing has happened.’
The stranger did as the owner had suggested. As soon as the stranger had hidden himself, four or five men all brandishing their weapons came in.
‘Has anyone come in here running?’, asked the leader of the gang, he is a criminal escaping justice.
None of the people in the shape paid heed to them; they kept going about their shopping. The owner came from behind the counter and assured them that no man had entered his shop before them. The armed men took round of the aisles and after they were sure the man they were looking for was not there, went out in hurry to nab him somewhere else.
After half an hour the owner brought the stranger out. The stranger explained them, he was a reporter who had made a video of their illegal activities; these people were close to an important minister. They wanted to kill him. He said that he would expose them in the evening news. Their corrupt deeds would be brought to light.
Thanking the owner and the people he hurriedly went out of the shop.
The stranger barged into my house when I was home alone. Although the main door was locked, the stranger opened the gate so violently and came near the window. He forced me to open the door. When I did not comply, he abused and frightened me that he will harm me. I was scared but was brave enough to pull myself up and decided not to oblige to the stranger whatever happens. I slowly crept on the floor, fearing he might harm me in some way, went to the bedroom, called my neighbour and stayed quiet. My neighbour arrived with some help and pulled the stranger out and handed him to the police. Everyone praised my act and I felt so relieved.
