The roller coaster had stopped and we were left upside down. I breathed in , all of the sudden I could only hear the sound of the air which went out and in my body. I sat still, frozen in my sit my hands gripping the belts tightly afraid I might fall. I heard two kids behind me squeaking. I looked at my friend who sat beside me terrified like me. I closed my eyes and mustered up the courage to talk. " Hey kids!' I called out as their attention turned towards me. " Can you hear me? Are you listening?" I asked.
" Yes" The elder one squeaked out. " Good. Just do what I say. Close your eyes and count upto 100 and trust me before you know it we will be safe." I said eyeing down as my hair whooshed in the air.
" Are we going to die?" the smaller one asked. I breathed in sharply so did my friend.
" No honey, we are going to be okay. Just stay still and hold onto your seatbelts and do what she said." My friend said referring to me. I could hear the whispering counts of the kids. I closed my eyes and prayed.
" Hey does anyone feel like this is Final Destination ?" A guy infront of me asked. I felt shiver rush in spine and felt uneasy. My friend took a notice of this.
" Hey, knock it off"She said as the guy kept quite. The roller coaster shook a little due to the gushing wind.Me and my friend looked at each other held our hands together.
Within an hour we were rescued and I breathed in relief. Me and my friend shared a hug of relief. I looked at the two kids who came rushing to us.
" Are you guys okay?" I asked. They nodded.
" Thank you" Their mom said joining the kids.
" Your welcome mam. Told you right? we would be safe." My friend and I smiled.
That was one live or die moment of my life. It was one hectic hour.
