You can write about how all of Tony's friends were chosen for a programme to be occurring in their school. Only he was left out from his friend circle.
So, all his friends went for the practice during the allotted time whereas he, along with other non-participants, was sitting in the class.
He imagined how much fun they must be having during the practice
And here he was sitting like a lonesome guy. He couldn't even talk to anyone as he had argued with the person sitting beside him just yesterday.
