She held the postcard tight and re-read it for the hundred and twentieth time that day.

Dear Ahalya,

Thank You for being YOU. I am finally coming home.

All these years she hadn't let her weaknesses get the better of her.

"An army wife's life is tough. Think again. Are you absolutely sure?"

His words from thirty five years ago reverberated in her ears. Her answer would remain the same even now.

"Never been surer!"

Those memories came flashing before her. She didn't weep when he had to leave on duty, a week after their wedding. Nor through the sleepless nights during the war of 1999. His absence during the growing up years of their children or at the gradual death of their parents, one after another, didn't dishearten her. The seven years when he served as a spy in an unnamed country, they had absolutely no contact of each other. She still held herself strong with the mere belief that he would return someday. And indeed he did. Only to be posted on another assignment two years thence.

At last, with his retirement, they'd be together; just the way they had envisaged in their teens! She'd seen longer nights, but tonight, she couldn't hold herself back. The stars finally shone brighter…and she was in tears which she could not control.

There lived a family in small village. There were four members in the family. Ishaan, his brother Akshat, his father & his brother. Ishaan and Akshat were best friends. They played together, studied in the same school. Akshat was elder and Ishaan was younger. Ishaan was just 6 years old and Akshat was 9 years old. They had a brother but unfortunately he died due to tuberculosis. His family didn't have the money for his treatment. Ishaan's mother couldn't bear the pain of death of her child. She wanted to keep Ishaan and Akshat safe. She didn't allow her children to stay away from home. She used to pick her children from the school. One day a call came from school. It was Ishaan's teacher and she told her mother to come to school because Ishaan wasn't well. Ishaan's mother was anxious. She went to the school. Her heart broke when she saw her son. He had fainted and when she asked what has happened to her son. Then no one gave the answer. There was a doctor standing there who told her that Ishaan has tuberculosis. She took him to another doctor. He said that he can't help. When Ishaan's uncle came to know about it he assured his mother that he will save Ishaan. He went to city with Ishaan. Ishaan got a treatment and he was well. His mother didn't see him for a year. When Ishaan's uncle came back to village with Ishaan then his mother saw her son's smile after a year. She hugged Ishaan and she couldn't control her tears....
