Write a story for a story writing competition. it should be for grade 8-9. It can be on any topic. It should be more than one A4 size paper.

"God please save me" my mind Rush

I ran as fast as my thin legs could carry me. I could feel someone following me in the dark carrying a dagger in his hands.
I Will surely die today.

Just then I heard a loud roar. the roar of a beast hiding nearby in the blue black darkness of the night.
I tripped, fell down and thought I died.

But to my amazement I found myself lying upside down on my futon and My friends snoring beside me.
then I remembered we came for an excursion trip and was inside the room of dilapidated bungalow house that night.
the owner never came to the house after his wife died six years ago and the place has turned a little haunted from then as ghostly stories of sudden death of the woman taunt the atmosphere of the place.

"oh!! god has heard my prayers" I heaved a sigh of relief but fearful thoughts triggered inside my mind

suddenly a strong thirst grope me. there was a urgent need of quenching my thirst.
I was a little scared so I woke up my best friend.

"maya please wake "I shook here vigorously.

She hesitated at first but I made her agree to accompany me.

we slowly got downstairs. It was dark all over the house and the flashbacks of my dream triggered my memory and I felt my heart skip a beat.

there was no moon that night and the deathly stilness of the surrounding jungle was broken only occasionally by the shill cry of the cicada, sometimes from the far off came the hollow hammering of the woodpecker carried along on the faint breeze or the howls of the jackles could be heard.
just then we heard the creaking to the cupboard at the far end of the hallway and it caught our attention at once.their was a window beside the half broken cupboard.

at first we thought it was the wind but found someone hurriedly hidding behind the cupboard.
then the wind blew once strong and hard and with it moved the man behind the cupboard.

"It has to be a theif or perhaps.a-----GHOST!!!  ",my friend shivered.

I heard the sound of my teeth chatering not from cold but from fear.
we pressed our hands and walked over the hallway. our hearts raced and both of us could hear each other's heart beating heavily against our chest.
I stopped. my legs gave away maya dragged me.

we top-toed forward towards the man. we could now see him from the golden light of the doorway as it crept thought the window and lighted a part of the dark room.

neither of us spoke a word. my mouth was dry, my lips pressed hard against each and heat radiated out of my body in all directions.

we came near the cupboard.

Maya pushed me forward.

"go and look !! "said she.

I thought it was cruel of her.

But when I turned my eyes towards the window their was nothing.

Maya was a mesmerized at my sudden change of my facial expression. She was a little took to surprised as look at my wonderstruck face.

turning my eyes in different directions I began searching for the unknown ghost when my eyes met the floor and then the trees outside.

IT WAS ONLY A SHADOW THAT HAS SCARED US!!!!

There was a small girl by the name Riya . She was very interested in dancing , so would always put on the TV to watch the reality show related to dance and day by day the interest of dance in Riya increased a lot and one day there was a grand finale of a popular dance show in TV , Riya sat along with her parents to watch the show and that day she told her parents that even she wants to dance like them to which her parents disagreed , when she asked for the reason they said that she is too small to learn dancing and we wont get anything by dancing , listening to this Riya felt sad and started crying .

After few months there was school day in Riya's school in which she participated in dance , the choreographers were amazed at her enthusiasm to learn dancing and as the classes went on Riya's dance was exceptional as compared to the dance of other girls . On the day of annual day Riya's dance was a thriller , she did it so well that even the people who taught her dance were surprised at her talent . She even worked hard to learn dance and she never cared for the obstacles that came in her life when she was aiming for her dream to be fulfilled

The next day Riya again requested her parents to teach her dance and parents scolded her giving the same reasons for which Riya felt so bad that she never dared to talk about that matter with her parents but her desire to learn dancing never decreased but it went on increasing .

Akanksha was the best friend of Riya who was also interested in dancing but she had the privilege of learning dance , Riya told her about her desire to learn dancing and she also said that her parents are not allowing her to learn which makes her feel very sad , Akanksha understood the problem of her friend and thought of helping her , so she took her friend to the place where she would go to learn dance and the choreographer agreed to teach her for free . Riya was overwhelmed and she started learning to dance on a daily basis.

One day there was a competition of dance only for the kids below the age of 10 in her city in which Riya participated with the permission of her parents , at first they were not willing to allow Riya for the competition , as Akanksha also  requested they agreed , on the day of the competition Riya was very happy and fearless as she had a she had an great desire and a strong determination for dance and she won the first prize in that competition and her parents were vary happy to see that and they felt sad that they scolded their daughter .

Now Riya was learning dance with one of the well known dancer , now she was much better in dance compared to before and finally the much awaited day for Riya came , she was being nominated in one of the most popular dance show in the nation , she got selected for higher levels in that , she would dance so well that everyone  were surprised to see her dancing it was no less than that of an professional dancer  , her popularity increased and finally she reached the grand finale and wont the first place which made her parents feel proud and made millions of hearts happy
