I was working on a lonely street in Delhi until I heard sounds off roaring bikes rapidly coming towards me. It was a dark night and I was extremely scared. I started walking faster and I didn’t realised that I dropped my wallet add the street.
As the bikes came nearer I felt more insecure and I hurriedly walked towards the main road. I saw Open open shop towards the end of the street. I rushed towards it but in a jiffy the bike was besides me. A creepy man with with an overgrown beard, shabby hair and dull clothes was riding the bike. I dropped my backpack and ran as fast as I could not realising that the man might be harmless! The man shouted from the back in his deep voice “ hey, come back don’t run.” I stopped and without turning back I asked, “what do you want” in complete uncomprehendable gibberish. He said “Whhaattt-” loudly.
He drove his bike towards me and the only thought on my mind, was “Run (insert name here Run!!!”
What i didn’t realise was my wallet was missing. I shouted help repeatedly and the man at the store at the end of the street came with a few others, but before that the guy on the bike reached me and said, “hey, why you runnin’? is this wallet yours? also you dropped your backpack there!” I was stunned! The man from the store came and beated up the guy on the bike, without listening to what i had to say. I stopped the people there and I was truly sorry for the kind man. Till date I wish Delhi was safe so nothing would’ve happened that day.
