I diligently stepped off the yellow school bus, examining each direction. I took one step and looked to the right, took another step and looked to the left. My mom has been telling me the crazy people on the streets. The news had been so busy looking for missing people. They still continue their search. I made sure to keep alert.
I waited by my mom’s office building, still keeping my eyes on the watch. I didn’t want to go missing and end up on the news. Did you know that a some psycho held two girls in his own house for 10 years? I have always been afraid of those kinds of people.
I continued to wait for my mom. I checked my watch and realized she had been gone for an hour. It was 4:00 pm and she got off of work at 3:00. I decided to just walk home.
I continued to walk slowly, keeping on the watch. A few blocks away, I saw the old and rusty apartment. As I opened the door, something touched my hand. I jumped! I screamed! I turned around and I saw an aged man. He told me to get in the car. I didn’t know what to do. All I knew in a time like this was to run. I took off, sprinting. I didn’t know where to go! I rapidly ran in to a forest. When I looked behind me, the stranger was gone. I sighed with relief. It felt like a 1,000 pounds were dropped off my shoulder.
Not only my shoulders were sore, but my I could feel the heaviness of my eyelids. I found a rock and a leaf. Good enough. I tipped my head over and shut my eyes.
I woke up to the next morning of a fishy smell. The weird thing was, I didn’t know where it was coming from. And then I heard it, the sound I wished to never hear. I turned my head slowly, not wanting to make the fish mad. But this wasn’t any kind of fish. It was a shark. As I turned my attention to the rest of the forest, other sharks were there. Swimming around. Before I could turn to run, something bit my the sleeve of my shirt.
