The grasshopper and the ants

Once there lived a grasshopper and a colony of ants together at a certain region. The grasshopper was always carefree, he danced about singing songs merrily. On the contrary, the ants were always hardworking and busy with accumulating food for their colony. The grasshopper asked them one day, "Why are you always working? You should relax and take some time off." The oldest ant replied, "Only at the right time will you know the reason.  

Soon winter came. The food which the ants had stored from earlier became useful now. However, the grasshopper did not have any food. He ended up starving and died in the winter. This is why the popular saying goes, 'A stitch in time saves nine.'
