Answer:

WHEN THE DOOR OPENS...

The night was dark, darker than nights ought to be. But this I suppose was due to the rain. It was raining hard, harder than most rains would fall. I can't really suppose anything for this I'm afraid. I was walking around the foot of the mountain. It was a lonely place with no sign of life. When you live in civilisation for a long time, you get used to everything being right there in your mobile phone. But things don't work the same way out in the mountains. The day started bright and clear. I stayed near my tent for the morning and afternoon and decided to go for a walk only in the evening. A foolish mistake I agree, but I'm thankful too. If I were under my tent in this rain, not would I be as soaked as I am right now, I also would have been defenceless. But, I'm not in a better position right now running about under the trees am I now? That's when I saw it. A faint light in the distance, coming from a lonely house. I ran to it and knocked on the door, more like pounded but it seemed like knocking at that point in time. It was opened by an old woman who looked like she was in her sixties. She let me in and quickly closed the door and locked it so the rain wouldn't get inside.

I thanked her profusely and it was only when she remarked how wet I was and asked whether I was feeling cold that I realised how my teeth were chattering and my body shivering with cold. She gave me a change of clothes and heated up some water for me to clean myself. After we had both sat down in front of a cheery fire, she asked me why I was out in the rain. After telling her briefly about my failed mission of a camping trip, she began telling me about her life. It was a simple life she had lived and now she spent her time making cheese for the villages near the mountain tops. She wished she could see the city lights and the fast paced world that had become the norm, but she claimed it to be an old woman's silly dream. In the morning, when the skies finally calmed down, I decided to leave and thanked the old woman for her kindness and gave her my address and phone number in case she ever decided to fulfil her dream.

Two months later, I heard a knock on my door when the night was darker than most nights are supposed to be and the rain was falling harder than they are supposed to. It was like I already knew, my friend from the mountain brought the rain and the dark with her so we could share the light. I opened the door with a smile.

Story- I used to live with my mother and grandmother. One day my grandmother had a high fever and my mother had to take her to the hospital and she told me to stay at home and not to open door for anyone. My mother was very tensed and in hurry too . I remember, that was a very dark night with raining hard. I was already scared and suddenly electricity gone too . I started searching for candles but couldn't see anything , there was no sign of light in the distance . I was alone with a lonely house and I heard a knock at the door. I ran to the door and thought they would be my mother and grandmother. I hurriedly opened the door and saw my mother alone. I asked her about grandmother and she started to cry . I got sorrowful and curious about my grandmother . My mother told me that she was not alive. That was the day when I lost my grandmother , my life.

I think this will help you.

thanks❤️
