A boy was playing in the park. He saw a small sparrow sitting on a stone. He went near it, still it didn’t fly. He didn’t understand why it didn’t fly. But after watching it carefully he found that it was a dead sparrow. It was kept there by a cat who had killed it.
After sometime the boy saw that the king men came and took the dead sparrow away. On following them to the palace he found that the king had ordered his powerful cat to kill all the sparrows and bring them to him. If the cat successfully did so, it was awarded. This was the kings’ order since an astrologer had told him that if he bathed his eye with the blood of a sparrow everyday, his wealth will remain intact.
To teach the king a lesson, the boy once sent a cat who bit the king hard and made him realize the pain. From that day the king stopped killing birds because he understood the pain of being hurt.
