Once there was a wise fox who was the mediator for all the animals of the forest. One day, there was a dispute over the right to hunt between the lions and the hyenas. When they approached the wise fox, he gave them a task and told them he will deliver his judgement after a week.
The task that he gave them was to prepare a feast for all the animals in the forest for his birthday in three days . He wants them to each get the food they can contribute, and help each other in preparing for the feast. While some animals brought fruits and flowers, the meat was given to the lions, tigers and hyenas for they are good in hunting.
Now, when the united trio of tigers, lions and hyenas hunt together, they could easily get meat. On the day of the feast, when they asked the fox to give his solution, he said that they already know the solution. When asked further, he told then that the united hunting was the solution. When they thought further, they also agreed with him and that was how they all dwell peacefully and happily in the forest.
