A tired and old appearance dog came into my backyard. I could see his collar and can tell that he has been well-fed and had a home. He straightforwardly came to me and I gave him some pats on the head. He then slowly followed me to the house. He walked from the hall to the kitchen and fell asleep. After some hours, he went towards the door and I set him free. The very next day, he again appeared in the backyard. I thought he must be missing. Then again he head straight towards the kitchen and slept peacefully. This time when he woke up, I gave him treats, food and water. This activity followed for 2 weeks. Out of curiosity, I stick a note on the collar, "I would like to meet the owner of this well behaved and wonderful dog and want to ask if you know that almost every day your dog comes for a nap and meets me?". The next day when he came to my house, there was another note that stated "he lives in a home with 2 underage children and maybe, he is trying to cover his resting period at your house. If you do not mind, can I come tomorrow with him?". This gesture melted my heart and I understood the condition of this dog and appreciate his gratitude towards his family. Thereafter, I pinned another note writing "please come with your family to have a dinner with me as a gesture to cheer your beautiful dog's mind."

The next day when I opened my door, my neighbours were standing with their dog and children. This is how I found this dog has been named Peter and he is my neighbour too. Peter and I have bonded very well. Now, he sleep, eat and play with me whenever he comes.
