My friend Ramesh organized his birthday party last Sunday and I was ready to go but could not reach to his party because on the way when I was going towards his house on my bike a strange thing happened to me.
On the way I was stopped by an old man. He said to me, “Son, could you drop me at a place a little farther?” I agreed; I dropped him at the place he wanted to. He thanked me for the lift. I saw there were tears in his eyes. I asked, “Is there any problem? You appear to be sad!”
The old man replied, “My son is sick. I have just returned from a relative’s house where I had gone to get some financial help. But I didn’t get any help!”
I really felt very bad. I went inside his house and saw his son lying on the bed. He needed immediate help. I called my dad who is a doctor. He came with an ambulance and took the sick son to a hospital where he works.
The old man thanked and blessed me profusely. I felt so contented. That’s why I could not attend my friend’s birthday party.
