A LITTLE HELP

It was the day of my maths final exam. I prepared well for the exam. I was very upset as i was bit late . I missed the school bus. It added to my worries as it was raining too. Heavy thunder storms threatened me. Due to heavy rain, there was flood in the area. Many trees fell down. The road was blocked so that any vehicle could not pass through that road. I found no way to go to my school. The time was nearing. Only 15 minutes left for the exam to start. I was tensed. All the people in that area were helpless. Suddenly , I saw a fallen tree floating in that flood. The speed of flood was also very low. I stepped onto the log slowly and maintained my balance. The log travelled along the current of water. Unfortunately I slipped. I was drowning. I was searching for help. None was ready to risk their lives to save me. I lost my hope for survival .Fortunately I saw a blind man who held out his cane to help me. I was saved by him. I didn't even notice him.

At last I reached my school on time. I was allowed to write my exam. The exam was easy and I did well. After the exam got over I rushed out to see the man who had saved me. To my surprise , he was standing at the entrance of school. I thanked him. He asked me whether I remembered him. I had no idea who he was. He told me that I had saved him once. Two years ago , I had been to beach. There had been two men who had been robbing money from a blind man . I had saved his money and had returned to him. I was happy to see him again. He told me that he had invested that money in a business and became a successful man. I was surprised that he could recognise me. He told me that the one who help us should not be forgotten in life.

I understood that a little help I had done, saved my life.

MORAL :

We have two hands ; one to help us and other to help others.
