It was an extremely hot afternoon in May and I was at my village spending my summer vacations with my family. Being a playful girl, I always kept doing some recreational activities. So I was out of my home, roaming around the lush green fields of my village and enjoying the cold and refreshing sips of my buttermilk, which my mom gave me in a bottle. I was walking through shades with my sister. I saw a farmer working in his field in that hot climate with just a khadi cloth on his head and his dhoti. He appeared to be an old man. I thought that it is so difficult for me to even step out of my shade on this burning land and here this man is working so hard to earn. I took some courage and went towards him. His body was wet with sweat and his bare foots had boils on his skin. I was astonished seeing him and offered him my another bottle of buttermilk to drink. His face filled with great happiness and he gave me a wide smile. He happily accepted my buttermilk and drank it like he was dying with thirst. He blessed me and that thing made my day. I was surprised by seeing his hardwork and praised the farmers of my country in my heart. They work so hard to fill the tummies of this huge population.I am blessed to be an Indian. That day was indeed good.
