A Tale of Friendship
It all began when Ravi Thakur was in an intense conversation with Mohan Singh during a family get together. Years back during a get together, both of them got into an argument and to prove who is more powerful, they decided to have bull fight. Ravi announced, “whoever loses, will have to give all his horses and bulls to the other.”
Ravi Thakur was the leader of the Thakurs and Mohan Singh led to the popular Singh clan. The Thakurs and the Singhs were the most powerful warrior clans of the town of Dhanyabad. Both had five bulls and ten horses each. Both the families shared a deep bond of friendship as Ravi and Mohan were childhood friends and grew up together.
After the altercation, the families became rivals and it became customary to have a bull fight every year to show their supremacy. Blinded by egos, every year they sacrificed the lives of innocent bulls to their false pride. There were times, when the Thakurs won but the other times the Singh’s emerged triumphant. This year again, it was the time for the fight but the heir of both the clans, Ravi’s son Jai and Mohan’s son Ram, didn’t want a fight as both of them were love peace . They wanted this rivalry to come to end. Moreover, as they grew up in wild, they loved their bulls dearly. Both Jai and Ram went to the same master to learn archery, hence, they befriended each other and decided to put an end to this madness and came with a plan.
A day before the fight, Jai requested Ravi to take him on a town tour as he was interested in knowing the family history. Ravi, like a proud father, gladly agreed to honour his son’s request. They first visited Ravi’s birth place; an age-old infirmary. As they entered, the first words that came out of Ravi’s mouth were “Mohan and I were born here”. When he realised what he had said, he began talking about something else. The next stop was Ravi’s school. Again, without realising, Ravi vividly described the childhood fun he had with Mohan and his other friends. They next went to archery training centre. The arena reminded him of his training days. And how Mohan was always a better archer than him. All his memories flashed back and he recalled how good pals, he and Mohan were and how dearly he, loved him. Just then, it dawned upon him how foolish argument has a kaput his relationship with his childhood friend.
Ravi immediately rushed to meet Mohan and apologized for his ruthless and insensitive behaviour. Seeing his friend genuinely regretting for his wrong doings, Mohan also admitted how wrong , stubborn and self-righteous he acted all these years. They decided to burn the bridges, and rekindle the born the once had. This ended the brutal sacrifice for innocent wolves, in the name of family rivalry, and a new beginning brought the families closer yet another time.
Moral: Bury the hatchet means settle one’s differences to become friends again.

Required story:
A bear and two friends
Once two friends were walking through the forest. They knew that anything dangerous can happen to them at any time in the forest. So they promised each other that they would remain united in any case of danger.
Suddenly, they saw a large bear approaching them. One of the friends at once climbed a nearby tree. But the other one did not know how to climb. So being led by his common sense, he lay down on the ground breathless, pretending to be a dead man.
The bear came near the man lying on the ground. It smelt in his ears, and slowly left the place. Because the bears do not touch the dead creatures. Now the friend on the tree came down and asked his friend on the ground, “Friend, what did the bear tell you into your ears?” The other friend replied, “The bear advised me not to believe a false friend.”
