THE WEAVER'S WISH
Once a weaver was at work when his loom broke, he took his axe and went to the jungle to get wood.
He spotted a huge tree. He thought if he axed it he would get enough wood to make many looms.
As he approached the tree a voice stopped him.
A spirit which lived on the tree asked the weaver not to cut down the tree which had been it's home for many years.
The weaver said he had no choice as he needed wood for his loom ana his whole family would die of starvation if he couldn't continue with his work.
The spirit then said ," I can grant you any wish if you spare the tree."The weaver said he would consult his wife .
He went home and sought his wife's advice. She adviced him not to ask for gold or wealth as they bring misery and sorrow with them , instead ask one more head and two more hands, so that he can weave two pieces of cloth a day.
The weaver returned to the jungle and his expressed his wish to the spirit. His wish was granted immediately.
when the weaver was spotted with two heads and four hands , the villagers thought that he was a monster and they pelted him with stones.
