In india there is a culture of that all the hindus worship the mother goddess cow  as it is called the holy and pure of all animals. the cowdung is applied as a purity sense before any ritual. this marks the importance of the cow.
Cow beef is also banded.
so many people worship bcoz they faith in cows. 
in villages there are cows which are kept as pets for milk and other purposes

cow is mostly worshipped by all Indians. In villages it is treated as a family member. all Indians will worship cow and believe that all Gods and goddesses are present in cow.

cows gives milk for some hundreds of people.

cows give milk and cow dung is very helpful as manure for plants and also in preparing biogas.there are different types of cows in India, which give large quantity of milk. hindus not only worship cows they respect,honour and adore the cows.

Indian and nepali people will show great respect towards cow.
