A Lie That Did A Miracle
It is true that a lie told with good intentions can change someone’s life for good. Adesh’s life is an example of the positive transforming power a lie can effect in a man’s life. He was a below average boy who was never willing to come out of his comfort zone. He just wanted to be relaxed and enjoy his life. He loved eating, watching TV, hanging around with his friends, and sleeping. Every morning he felt disinclined to go to school.
His father was exceedingly worried about him. He wanted him to be disciplined and utilize his precious time to develop his latent talents. He made a plan to bring about a change in his son’s attitude. He sought his psychologist friend’s help. He shared with him his worry and asked if he could do anything to bring about the much needed change in his son. Now this psychologist friend was a great scholar. He knew great psycho-therapeutic techniques. He demanded a meeting with Adesh.
Adesh’s father excitedly took Adesh to his friend’s clinic. The psychologist talked very encouragingly to him. He told him he was going to conduct certain tests on him. He did actually conduct certain tests on him. While going evaluating the tests, he realized the flaws in his character. In spite of the bad score, the psychologist friend expressed his wonder and amazement at Adesh’s brilliance. He showed him the doctored tests of some other brilliant boy. He told him he was one of the most promising youngsters he had ever met.
Adesh was surprised at the findings. At home he thought and thought about his brilliance. The more he thought about it, the better he felt. Gradually, the lie worked; Adesh began to feel confident and began shouldering responsibilities. This improved his performance in academics. More praise from teachers worked more wonders. Finally after a gap of five years he passed his MSC in IT with flying colours. He topped the state. On the basis of his brilliant academic performance, he was hired by an international MNC. A lie did miracle in Adesh’s life.

Immediately birbal went to a goldsmith and asked him to make a golden wheat twig. After a month birbal went back to the court ignoring the kings words. When the king saw birbal in his courtyard the king became very angry he shouted at birbal saying "why are you here?" then birbal said " I am sorry my lord I have to show you something very important What is it? asked the king "my lord yesterday I meet an old saint who was holding a golden wheat twig he said that if we plant the twig many gold wheat plants will be born but it has only one condition" and then birbal stopped. The king curiously asked 'what is the condition" birbal continued "the person sowing it must have never lied in his whole life" everyone stated looking at each other birbal asked the king to sow the twig but he king refused to do it. then the king realised that everyone in life will lie so that they do not hurt other person's feelings.
