Diwali was about a week after. The markets were crowded.
Among the big market, under a tree, there was a small set-up where a mother and her child was selling ‘Diyas’.
On one hand, there was a huge crowd in shopping malls and on other the hand, rarely anyone would have stopped under the tree to purchase Diyas.
An old man noticed it. He came under the tree and saw the kid and his mother. The kid smiled and greeted the old man by saying, “Ram Ram.”
The old man smiled and purchased Diyas of 500 INR from the kid and his mother.
Although, the Diwali festival was after a week, the kid and his mother’s Diwali happened that day.
The old man purchased all Diyas and walked away. He opened his car and had a seat.
His wife, who was seated on other side noticed everything. Thus, she asked, “But, we don’t celebrate Diwali.”
“I know begum. But, they do.” The old Muslim man answered his wife by pointing his finger towards the kid and his mother
