Answers
Answer:
Once upon a time a poor farmer lived in a village. In spite of working hard in the fields he could hardly make both ends meet.
God had mercy on him and decided to help him. He put in the farmer’s head a thought to buy a goose and led him to particular shop. With God’s guidance, the farmer bought a special goose and took it home,
His wife scolded him for wasting money on a new goose. The poor farmer just kept quiet. He tried to defend his decision saying, “Darling, we will sell its eggs and have some extra income.”
Next morning the farmer was flabbergasted as he went to the goose’s pen to collect egg. He could not believe his eyes. IT WAS A GOLDEN EGG. He ran to his wife with the egg. The wife gave a cry of mad joy. She said, “Wow! Our days of poverty are over.”
So every day they got one new golden egg. They sold it and became rich. Now, the farmer’s wife was greedy by nature. She wanted all the eggs from the goose. +She decided to cut it asunder and take all the eggs out.
One night her husband had gone to a faraway city to sell a golden egg. She took the sharpest knife out and cut the goose apart. To her horror, she did not find any egg inside the goose. Only entrails and blood came out. The greedy wife was left repenting and remorseful.
The farmer was also very sad. He said to his wife, “If you were not so greedy, we would not have lost the golden goose that God had gifted us.”
