                                                The Brave cowboy

The cowboy

Ramu was a cowboy who lived with his grandparents, on a hilltop village. Every day he happened to take the cows for grazing to the grassland near his village. While the cows were grazing, Ramu used to watch the trains pass through the old bridge near his village.

The Damaged bridge

One day the cowboy noticed that the tracks on the bridge were broken on one place. There was a passenger train fast approaching the bridge and Ramu feared an accident to take place. He thought of the passengers on board the train and wanted to save their lives.

The accident prevented

He ran towards the train shouting to stop the train. The driver saw him but could not guess why the boy was running towards the train and did not stop. Ramu quickly took off his shirt and waved towards the driver signaling him to stop. He was nearing the train and the driver stopped the train.

The driver and the passengers were angry with Ramu but when they learned the brave act of Ramu, they thanked him for saving so many lives. Ramu was praised for his braveness and quick thinking and was rewarded by the people with gifts and money.

A cowboy was with his cattle on his way back home on a sunny summer evening.

As he was near the rail tracks on the field he noticed that many of his cattle were way forward him and the whistle of a train at the backdrop made him fear the unfortunate upcoming event.

Instantly he opened his bright red shirt and ran back on the tracks towards the train.

The train was still quite far and he went on yelling and waving his hands. The driver saw and stopped and many lives were saved.

Presence of mind is really important in life.
