"Daddy, look I am dressed like Harry Potter" said a young 12 year old boy running towards his dad lovingly. I was sitting by the tea table, sipping my morning coffee and reading the newspaper. This was my usual routine of every morning.
"You look perfect my boy." I said with a smile on my face, "but why are you dressed like harry potter son?"
"Don't you remember dad, you have to come to our school event today evening at 6." frowned my son.
" Oh yes, now I remember " I said apologetically
It was 5:30 in the evening when I drove to my son's school. He and his mother was already at the school getting him ready for his act.
I reached the venue, took the front seats at the hall and kept a seat for my wife as well.
The event began and we saw many beautiful dance performance, singing performances by many talented young beautiful smiling and excited kids. Then came the act of our son, he was performing the theatrical drama of Harry potter and the philosopher's stone. I was wonderstruck seeing him perform. I suddenly thought of myself as a young child, I had this crazy love for acting, drama and theater. I remembered myself being so creative and always being the lead role in any act we used to perform at school. This impacted me hugely. Seeing my son perform so strongly, portraying the role with such intense calibre and dedication, made me think back in time if I made the right decision to become a banker. He gets millions of questions in his heart questioning himself if he had made the right decision to change his career track from being an actor to becoming a banker.
The performance was over and so was the event. My son was the star performer of the event that day and was awarded with the best act of the function. He was so happy, seeing my son smile with so much affection and running towards me with the award, I got my answer. I had indeed made the right decision to become a banker. That smile on my son's face gave me the joy that I don't think even becoming an actor would be able to get. I am so happy to see my son achieve his interest and creative side everyday. That day my son told to me that He wants to become an actor when he grows up.
I have made this my life aim to get him all that he needs to make him closer to reach his goal because that is my goal as well.
