Train accidents can be devastating as it can wreck many lives and destroy massive property.
One such train accident that happened recently was in UP's Raebareli.
On 10 October 2018, nine coaches of the New Farakka Express derailed in the district and seven people were killed in the tragic accident.
The accident was so massive in nature that the train rammed into a nearby school away from the tracks and one of its bogies even entered the school building.
Luckily enough, the school was not in progress at the time of the incident. When railway safety personnel visited the accident site, they found out that there was a fault in the tracks as it was broken up to 10 inches.
A railway safety commission has been set up to probe the tragedy and we sincerely hope that this type of incidents will not recur again.
