Everything was peaceful and calm to begin with, but that peace was about to be shattered.  As I sat in my bedroom, doing my history homework, I kept watching the clock.  I knew Mom would be home after 5 o'clock  and it was now 5:15.  How can I tell her I had a minor accident in my new 'used' car while coming home from school.   I didn't receive a ticket, but only a warning.  

BUT, how will I explain to her why it happened?  And, how will I pay for the damage?
