write a story that illustrates the idea that one should be helpful and generous towards others in emergencies
Answers
This is a well-known story but I have given it here because it very well illustrates the idea that one should be helpful and generous towards others in emergencies.
The bird and the ant
Once upon a time, in a forest, on a tree there lived a bird and an ant. Though they were neighbors, they seldom talked with each other.
The bird saves the ant
One day there was heavy rain and the ant was about to be drowned in the water but the bird picked a leaf from the tree and dropped it. The ant climbed on the leaf and was saved from the rain. The ant thanked the bird for the help.
The ant saves the bird
Another day the bird was fast asleep and a hunter aimed an arrow at the bird to kill it. Luckily the ant saw the hunter and bit his legs, just as he was about to shoot. The arrow missed the bird and the bird escaped. The bird was thankful for the ant and from that day they both became good friends.
Conclusion
From the story, we can see that the generous help we offer others will surely have its reward.
Hope it helps.
I had recently moved to London.
I usually take the commuter rail into the city.
But on one stormy winter’s day the trains were delayed for hours. People were, cold, tired, wet and grumpy.
It was a very strong storm.
But after the night somehow I made it to my car but I found it covered with snow and blocked by a 3 foot wall of snow.
I didn’t have a shovel, I was getting frustrated.
I started to remove the snow with my hand.
After making a couple of passes with my hands to clear the snow off my car I saw a man who was shoveling my car out.
He also gave me his snow brush to clear off my windows.
With his help I could dig up my car quickly.
It was a very kind gesture of that man.
After that on my way home, I cried from happiness and unexpected kindness from that man in such an emergency situation.
