My best friend and I were wandering around our neighborhood one Saturday evening when we saw that there was a baby in one of the second floor balcony in the next block to my building. We didn't think much into it as we thought she was just playing.
Then on our way back from the stroll, we saw the same baby still out alone in the balcony but this time crying loudly. We waited for the parents to come but no one came out of the door. Sensing that something was seriously wrong, we went up to the building and went to the house. After continuous knocking, when no one came to open the door, we knew something was definitely wrong. So, we called the guard of the block and told him of the issue. He came with some other men and they knocked down the door. When we entered the house, we saw that the mother was lying face down on the floor, unconscious. Someone immediately took her to the hospital and also made sure the little girl was fed and kept safe.
We later learned that the mother was suffering from some seizure but she will be safe. The families of the woman thanked us profusely and even tried to reward us but we refused. They told us that they will always be grateful to us for being there at that time. I guess we had the best day of our live that day.
