We are required to illustrate a story showing the fact that the devil you know is better than the agent you don't know. The story to prove this fact is as under:
This experience is a true-life incident when I had gone to Andamans and Nicobar with my school for a picnic. We had thought of every minute detail as we knew that we were going to a place we were not familiar with.
Finally, we left Chennai and reached the Andaman islands by the way of ship. We had taken assurance and also booked our return tickets for after a week.
By the first five days, we enjoyed ourselves so much that we had nearly exhausted all the money our parents had provided us with. Then came the earth-shattering news. The crew of the ship was on strike as their demands were not being met by the company. So we were literally stuck there.
These were the friends that we had trusted before making the trip and they had left us in the lurch and now we were also without money to survive.
We were very very scared and spend the rest of the two days eating only one meal. We suddenly got the news that Mr. Bala had also kept for a holiday to the islands. All of the other students started jumping as there was now a chance to get home except me. I was so scared as Mr. Bala and my father were enemies. I knew he will definitely not take me back so there was no use. I was now going to be stranded without my friends also.
Amazingly Mr. Bala who was a known enemy came to meet me personally on the day he reached and got the news itself. He was shocked that we were going through such hardships. He immediately took us to a hotel and gave us food as we all were starving.
Then he decided to first get us all back to safety and then come back for his work. Amazingly he was very happy to do so even though his own work was getting delayed.
This proves the fact that the known enemy Mr. Bala was much better than the angel we had trusted on. The angel could have also kept us there till their demands were not satisfied.
