It was little Lia's 9th birthday and she was very excited to celebrate her birthday with her family. As it was still the quarantine period, she could not call over her friends for the party.
She woke up early in the morning and greeted her parents with a sweet good morning wish and hugged them while the parents placed a soft kiss on their daughter's forehead and wished her "Happy Birthday."
Lia received her first birthday present from her mother. She bought her a beautiful outfit of her favorite cartoon character. Lia was screaming with happiness after looking at the beautiful outfit. "Thank you mom, you're the best!", she exclaimed with joy.
Her father couldn't really decide what to gift her on her birthday so he didn't buy anything for her. Lia said, "Dad can you please give me some money for my birthday present? I wanted to buy a soft toy." Her father smiled and accepted to give her the money. They both went out to buy her the present.
On her way to the shop, she saw a hungry begger and noticed his extremely weak state. Lia quickly ran to a food store and bought some food for the needy begger and helped him satisfy his hunger for the day. She gave away the rest of the money to him so that he could buy food later on.
Her father noticed her actions and unknowingly he was smiling at her. Lia ran to her father and said, " Why are smiling so much dad?" Her father laughed and replied, "I'm proud of you my daughter, you really have a big and kind heart dear."
Lia said, " Yes dad I'm happy to help him. I'm already happy with the outfit that mom bought me. We should help the poor first. Maybe we can buy a soft toy next birthday?" Both of them giggled a little and went back home with their hearts filled with satisfaction.
