One night, a rich merchant was returning home after a long day at the fair. He was taking back a very large sum of money. On his way, he found a shortcut. But it crossed the forest. It was said that in the forest there live many robbers and goons. He went through anyways. Suddenly, it started raining heavily. The merchant got wet. The money was safe inside his bag. A robber was watching from behind the bushes. He attacked the merchant. When the robber attempted to shoot, the gun powder got wet. And so it did not fire. The merchant seeked his chance and escaped.

Once upon a time, a merchant was returning home from a fair with his day's earning after selling his wares at the fair. He had managed to sell off all his products and was happily planning the things he would buy when he reached home with the money. Suddenly, there came a heavy rainfall and took him off-course. He had to look for a safe place to escape the rains but since he couldn't find any place, he decided its best to continue on his way and get home sooner even though that might make him all drenched and wet.

On the way, he was attacked by a robber who has been hiding, hoping to catch some passerby off-guard. And when he saw the lone merchant coming under the rain, he felt elated and lucky. He even thanked the heavens that someone had come when he wasn't so sure about anyone coming because of the rains.

Then the inevitable happened. The robber was pointing his gun at the merchant and the merchant was already so scared that he immediately held up his hands and thought the worse is about to happen. But luckily for the merchant, the rains had made the gun powder wet which made it impossible to fire. On seeing that the robber was struggling with his gun, the merchant raced as fast as his legs could carry him and did not stop till he reached the village. The rains had saved his life, and from that point onwards, he made sure he never travels through the forest alone.
