We encourage people to work on problems that are neglected by others and large in scale. Unfortunately those are precisely the problems where people can do the most damage if their approach isn’t carefully thought through.

If a problem is so neglected that you’re among the first focused on it, then you’ll have a disproportionate influence on the field’s reputation, how likely others are to enter it, and many early decisions that could have path-dependent effects on the field’s long-term success.

Ironically, we expect that cautious people – the folks who least need this advice – will be the ones most likely to take it to heart.
There's a difference between help and Push
When I was in 7th . Me and Ravi my bench mate were really good friends but there was a problem he never used to complete his notes . I didn't saw that as big deal I used to help him with it and he really used to be thankful. I always feel great helping him. In the 8th grade I switched my schools as my father had a transfer. I wasn't ready for the new school and didn't wanted to leave my friends. Me and Ravi promised to be in contact with each other.
One day my phone rang and I picked it up , on the other hand was Ravi we talked for hrs but I felt like something was wrong so I asked him what wrong he replied I am not able to complete the notes and the assignments when you were there I was totally dependent on you but now you are not here .Then I realised that I was trying to help him out but I have made his situation worst I tried to cheer him up that completing notes is not everything and I told him this time you didn't do so well but next time you will do well. And that's when I came to know there's a difference between helping a person and life pushing a person for example A butterfly has to come out of a small hole in cocoon to be a beautiful butterfly that way everyone has to struggle in life to be their bestself.
OR
One day while watering my plants I found a cocoon . It had a small opening. I sat and watch the cocoon for hours as it was struggling to force it's body to come out of the hole. Suddenly it stopped making progress it seem that the butterfly need a bit of help as it was difficult for him to come out.
SO I took a pair of scissors and snipped the remaining bit of cocoon . Expecting it too come out with beautiful mesmerizing wings. but something was odd. The butterfly has a swollen body and deformed wings . The butterfly was going to live the rest of its life without flying I felt bad for the butterfly as I was just trying to help him . That's when I realised that sometimes struggles are what we exactly need . if nature allowed us to got through life without any obstacles it would cripple us, and that we couldnt be strong to face any situation.
