The story is written below-
There was a boy named, Ramesh, who lived in a small village tugged away in the mountains, away from the city. He lived there with his family. His father was a farmer and his mother used to be a tailor.
Ramesh used to play football for his school and was the fastest runner in the village. He was a talented boy. He dreamt of becoming a professional runner. One day, he was at his school when suddenly his physical education teacher called him and told him that he was been selected for an inter-school relay competition that was supposed to take place outside their village. It was a great competition and the teacher wanted Ramesh to execute his best performance.
Ramesh was surprised and cheerful at the same time. He was determined to win and started his practice every morning. He used to wake up at 4 00 am and he used to exercise and run. He gave his hundred percent effort to win the game.
It was finally the day when the competition was to be held. His parents, friends, and his physical education teacher were present there to cheer for him. He was confident about himself and the game finally started. It was the beginning of the race when Ramesh hit a rock accidentally and fell on his chest. His knee was hurt and he was unable to run. He tried his best to cover up for the unfortunate accident. He burned himself out and the other runners headed way too fast. He lost the game.
He was demotivated and lost all his dreams to become a runner. He was sad and lost all his joyful behavior. He stopped eating and blamed himself for everything that happened. He considered himself a complete failure. His parents were upset to see his condition.
It was almost two months after the incident when his Physical education teacher called him and said that he was again selected for an inter-school running competition. This event was way more crucial because the winner would get a scholarship to complete his education. Ramesh told that he could not compete as he was not eligible for this competition. the other runner was better than him. His teacher told him, ' Ramesh, I have been seeing you since you were 2 years. I know your capacity and I know what you deserve. I believe you. All you should do is have faith in yourself and keep practicing.
He started his practice and worked even harder than before. He was patient and kept himself motivated. He was determined and focused.
It was finally the day. The whistle blew and the runners started running. Ramesh was running slow before and as soon as the ending mark came closer he accelerated his speed. The other runners were surprised to see his escalated speed and before anyone could understand he was almost near the finishing line. The ending whistle was blown and Ramesh was announced as the winner. He received a medal for his excellent performance and the governor of the village awarded him a scholarship.
It was his strategy to save his energy when the race was initiated and then to increase his speed. He did not want to burn himself right in the beginning. He gained his faith again and understood that failures are the pillar of success.
It proves that success does not move along a straight line. There are failures, rejections, and backlashes that gradually lead to success.
