llAnswerll:-

Ever since childhood, I have always been so used to having my way with things that I thought the world belonged to me. I never and didn't expect anyone to not take my word or even do whatever I ask.

One day, I had gone to a friend's house with my mother to just pay a visit and hang out. While the adults were talking and just sitting around, I and my friend played in his room. I noticed that there was something that I think we're not supposed to touch or take with us. He knew I was looking at that and he immediately told me that he is not allowed to touch it. He then told me that he had never tried to disobey his parents, to which I replied that my parents never disobeyed me.

I then moved to the direction of the trophy that I had seen and wanted to hold. He was trying hard to stop me, urging me to forget and let it go. But the stubborn me refused to let it go and decided to take it out of the cupboard. And then, it happened. While he was trying to make me keep it back and I refused, we dropped the trophy on the ground and broke it into two.

Immediately, everyone was in the room, with his parents and my mother. They scolded him while I kept quiet. I knew I had done wrong but since I have always got my way, I didn't think it necessary to apologize. The trophy had been from his grandfather's friends and that was why it was more precious than anything. If I had been disciplined like him, I wouldn't have forced myself to do the deed and then the trophy would still be safe. I then realized that it pays to be disciplined.

Hope it helps ya !
