One lonely winter morning Anand, a shepherd took his sheep for grazing in the distant valley. All the trees were turning yellow; all the crops were ripening; there were millions of flowers in bloom along the banks of the rivulet. He felt like a prince of the kingdom of this beautiful Eden.
The sheep enjoyed eating nibbling the luscious grass throughout the day. In the evening when he was gathering up his sheep grazing in a vast green valley full of luscious grass, he sensed something unusual. His instincts seemed to be warning him of an imminent danger. Soon back clouds began scudding over the sky; a chilly gale began to blow; Anand began chivvying the scattered sheep into one herd again. He knew he would have to take them to a shelter in order to keep them safe. He knew a cave that could provide him temporary shelter from the coming blizzard.
His shepherding skills were immaculate. Shortly, he gathered them and led them to the cave. The blizzard kept showing his fury for the entire night. The sheep huddled together provided him the warmth without which he would frozen to death.
Next morning the inclement weather improved. The sun shone brightly in the sky. And Anand led his sheep to his village over the newly fallen snow. As he reached his village beyond the mountains, he was greeted with cheers, hugs and elation.
