lost of students local home language has been under threat over the years .most schools teaches foreign language instead of the local languages ,this has led to the diminishing of these languages .language is a medium for communication and any language is rich inits own way
therefore there is need to uphold local languages in the schools ,foreign language should be secondary ,a student or a pupil should take a course in foreign language at will and not being forced
local schools taught local languages in the schools especially at the lower primary schools so that young children can appreciate their language
