Song of myself' is a beautiful poem. It has been composed by Walt Whitman. He was very popular amongst people. He was the people's poet. He was perhaps the most individualist literary figure that America has ever produced. He worked as a carpenter before his 12th birthday. He also worked as a printer, teacher and editor. He was also the volunteer nurse during the civil war. Whitman's poetry, all of which is collected in Leaves Of Grass. It is now for its free rhythms and lack of rhyme. In 1881, after many editions Leaves Of Grass finally found publisher willing to print it uncensored it was only after his death that he could win appreciation in American for his original and innovative expression in American individualism. His importance work are Leaves Of Grass (1855) and Drum Taps (1866).

He enjoys and sings. He things that our feeling are same. There is no difference between man and man. All are same. Our blood is same. He said that whatever things he possessed the rest might have processed the same.The poet wonders aimlessly and thinks a lot. He takes some rest and goes ahead. He sees the mast of Summer grass. It seems as if it is a bunch of thorns. He says that we should not make other unhappy. Happiness and sorrow are the two parts of life. Life is not a bed of roses. Man is mad of soil. Man is the father of man. He is 37 years old. He is healthy and hopes that he have will be healthy till death.
At last he said that life is the gift of god. We should live happily. We always be happy and try to make other happy.
