Write a summary of the following poem.

Blow, blow, thou winter wind,
Thou art not so unkind
As man‟s ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen,
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:

Then, heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.
Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,
That dost not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As friend remembered not.

Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly...

Answer:−

It's a song taken from "As you Like It " by William Shakespeare. In this song, the writer presents the sufferings of fake love and relationship in human being. Here, the poet upholds that human nature is very crueler than nature. He says that most of the people are suffering from the lack of real love. Most of the friendship & love of this mundane life are false. On the other hand, the virtue of nature is pure. A man can betray but nature does not betray.
