Explanation:

We are on the brink of a disaster and it is time for us to press the panic button! Most of the present-day environmental problems are man - made and the answers have to be provided by man himself. Human interference with the environment is generally for the development of man and improving his quality of life. Natural resources like vegetation, land, water and soil are used so that the growing population enjoys a higher standard of living. However, in the process, man has over-exploited natural resources. This has resulted in unthinkable damage to our environment.

'A Conservationist's Lament' comes as a rude shock and is a stern reminder of the damage we have caused the earth. The message of the poem is : wake up, before it is too late ! Check the overuse of land, water, plant, and animal resources. ' There is an urgent need to conserve these resources and maintain a proper balance in nature. It is up to us to find a solution.
