The poem ‘Butterfly oh butterfly where do you go’, by Heather Scott is a children’s poem.
EXPLANATION:
The poem is written from a small child’s point-of-view. The child expresses his amazement and pleasure on viewing the butterfly in the daytime but he is very much saddened that he cannot sight the butterfly at night.
He innocently asks the butterfly where it disappears after sunset when he stays awake at night. The night is also as beautiful as the day with the moon shines softly and the stars light up the sky but alas the butterfly vanishes.
