Mathilda is a very interesting novel written by Roald Dahl. This novel is about a girl named Mathilda who is very intelligent but her parents do not like her and do not consider her intelligent. She is very fond of reading books .
When she joins school she finds a very good and loving teacher named Miss Honey ,Miss Honey comes to know about the intelligence of Mathilda and they soon become good friends. Unfortunately that school was run by Miss Trunchbull who was a very cruel principal ,who was very harsh towards children and each and every child in the school was afraid of her. One girl in the school named lavender did a prank on Miss Trunchbull. She captures a newt and puts it into the Trunchbull's water glass. The Trunchbull blames Matilda for the newt, which makes our girl so mad she pushes the Trunchbull's water glass over with her mind. Whoa. After class, she tells Miss Honey what she did, and then she gives her teacher a little magic show, which results in Miss Honey inviting little Matilda to tea.
Miss Honey tells Mathilda about her story which was the main suspense in the story.
Soon Mathilda gets some special powers and Mathilda with her teacher miss Honey puts Miss Trunchbull into problem .Miss Honey moves home and starts living a decent life again. And Matilda, who visits her every day, gets moved up to the school's highest class. After moving up, Matilda loses her powers. One day, she finds out that her parents are planning to move to Spain, ASAP. Matilda doesn't want to go with them.

Mathilda and Miss Honey talks to wormwood and as Wormwood's were not so careful about Mathilda they let her stay with Miss Honey. And at last Matilda moves in with Miss Honey, where the two live happily (and smartly) ever after.

At school she becomes friends with her teacher ,Miss Honey. She is astonished by Matilda's intellectual abilities and knowledge that she got from reading books at the age of just 4. Matilda takes revenge on the school principal who tortures all students with her strange telekinetic power. When she grows up her powers begin to reduce. Her parents decide to move into Spain.She objects to this and Matilda goes to Miss Honey and she stays with her.
