SUMMARY:-
Stanza:- 1
As the Dark Cloud begins to move in the sky full with stars ,there is sadness felt by the sky and it is seen in the form of rain drops which are like the tears shed by the sky. To the poet,this natural phenomena is of great happiness,He feels very excited as he lies in bed,pressing the pillow and listening to the patter of the soft rain on the cottage roof.

The Falling of the rain drops on the tiles of the roof creates a musical effect which echos the thrill of his hear. He goes into day dreaming. Many incident started appearing in his mind,the past experiences thronged his heart. He listens the patter of the rain on the roof of his cottage with feeling of Joy

At this time comes the memories of his Mother. He remembers the time when his mother look at him with gaze. She left the darling dreamers in their sweet dreams till dawn. The poet remembers and cherishes the love and sweet looks of his mother as he listens to the patter of the rain on the roof.
