In India, the drainage system is very poor due to its construction. Many a times we come across drainage block and break, choking of waters and overflow of drainage waters . Any imte reporting to the concerned authorities is necessary to rectify the defects. The author has a sample e-mail format for reporting such drainage blocks and breaks.

When it rains, some water naturally seeps into the ground. To prevent the rest of it from flowing towards low-lying land, the drainage system directs it into rivers and creeks — and eventually into the bay.
