Answer:
"Wind" is a poem written by Subramania Bharati in Tamil. It has been translated into English by AK Ramanujan. Subramania Bharati (1882-1921), also known as Mahakavi (meaning great poet), lived in the pre-independence era. He was a famous poet, writer, journalist, independence activist, and a social reformer, the poem 'Wind' is a symbolic poem. The wind symbolises all difficulties, obstacles, struggles, and obstructions that we have to face in life. Through the symbol of wind, the poet teaches its readers an important lesson that one must be strong and bold. The poem 'Wind' is full of moral lessons. The poet has poured out his heart in the present poem. He says that people must be strong at heart because only the weak at heart are troubled by difficulties. Here wind symbolises difficulties that have the power to devastate life on the earth. The theme of this poem is that even when you face a lot of hardships and obstacles in life, you should never give up, instead you should befriend those obstacles. Just like the poet, who tries to befriend his hardship, the wind so that it may help him instead of harming him.
