Dear Ms. Valentine,

Thank you once again for taking the time to interview me on Thursday. It was a pleasure to meet the person that handles the behind the 3 scenes elements of our local newscast. You seem to enjoy your job fully and only reinforced how much I would love to work and grow with your company. I appreciated the stories you shared of past mentors, and enjoyed the fact that we've both had the pleasure of working with several of the same colleagues.

I am thrilled that my background fulfills your requirements. There is no doubt in my mind that I can execute the duties expected of me as an associate producer for your newscast, and I am confident I would serve an essential role at Fox 6 News. You emphasized that the fast pace can often be challenging. However, I am convinced that the pace will play to my strengths, as it has at other stations I've worked in previously. I remember many breaking news stories that helped shape my instinct to be alert at all times, while learning to quickly make rapid and essential changes to the rundown.

I understand the high demands of working in news, and the commitment one must have to the profession by being aware of news affairs daily. I am 100% committed to this aspect of my career. I feel confident I can choose the most relevant newsworthy pieces for our community while continuing to make viewership a top priority. Finally, I am excited about the potential opportunity to work for the news station I have been watching since I was a child.

Thank you for allowing me to be a candidate for this position. I look-10 forward to your decision-making in the next few weeks. Should there be anything you need from me in the meantime, I will be more than happy to provide it for you.

Sincerely,

Jane Odette
