The stressful times
One of the most stressful times for me was before my board exams in class 10. The pressure was immense, both from friends as well as family. The sense of responsibility to prove my worth to other people had overwhelmed my mental peace causing anxiety and stress. I would have frequent headaches and sometimes even feel nauseous at night while studying for the exam.
It was probably the worst time of my life. However, my mother helped me through it. She told me that in order to achieve something, we should stop thinking about both failure and success and instead focus on what we should do to keep moving ahead. That must be the goal of life. Once I started thinking that way, slowly my worries seemed trivial and petty to me. Ultimately my exams went very well. After I learnt the technique to calm myself in tough situations when I faced a very similar situation again, that is during my class 12 board exams, it was a piece of cake for me.
Of course, hardships are difficult to deal with and cause a certain amount of stress and anxiety however, we should not let that disrupt our mental well being and instead use it as a driving force to keep moving ahead in life.
