Acid rain :It is a type of precipitation characterised by low pH of rain water. If So2 and N2O as pollutant remain in air during precipitation SO2 as well as N2O mixes with the water to form acid rain water becomes acidic. The acidic precipitation is unfavorable to microbes in the soil and the microbes are killed. The rain may eliminate the insects and fish species in lakes. Biodiversity in lakes and rivers may be reduced. When pH becomes lower than 5 ,it destroys the fish eggs and they cannot hatch. Acid rain causes damage to the buildings historic monuments and statues.
