The substances which are added to the soil in the form of nutrients for the healthy growth of plants are called manure and fertiliseres. It is important to add manure and fertiliseres to the soil because in some places the soil as less nutrients for crops because the farmers grow crops after a crop in the same field. The process of adding manure and fertilisers is called manuring. If the manuring is not done on time the results seen on weak plants.

Manure is obtained from the decomposition of plants or animal waste. The farmers dump plants and animal waste in pits and allow it to decompose this is done by certain organisms while fartiliseres are rich in particular nutrition it is produced in factories. The using of fartilisers make better yield of crops but the fartilisers are use in less amount if it used daily or after two days it makes the soil less fertile it is used after one month or two months it is also the source of water pollution. The use of manure improves soil texture as well as its water retaining capacity. Another method of replenishing the soil with nutrients is through crop rotation this can be done by growing crops alternately this help the replenishment of the soil with nitrogen. The rhizobium bacteria present in the nodules of the roots of leguminous plants they fix atmospheric nitrogen.
