Air pollution is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. Car emissions, chemicals from factories, dust, pollen and mold spores may be suspended as particles.

The ivory marble gives the Taj Mahal its iconic look, but there are growing concerns ( air pollutants due to air pollution ) that it may not remain as bright white in the future. Its façade is turning into a brown-yellow colour altering the monument’s most distinguishing feature and climate change might speed up this process.
