Making sacrifices is
not an easy job. Each one of us has to make sacrifice at a time in our life. I remember
many occasions in which I was forced to make sacrifice. In the final year of
schooling, my friend and I were selected to represent the school in an
inter-school declamation contest. Both of us were equally good speakers. Both of
us cleared all the preliminary levels of selection. The teachers were not able
to decide which of us should represent the school on the final day. One day
prior to the contest I offered to withdraw my name as my friend was so excited
and curious to represent the school. He participated and did not win any
position. Our rival school won the first position. I regretted my decision of
not having represented the school. I was confident of winning some position for
the school. Then I decided I would never make sacrifices in future.
