Plants are the example of Autotrophs which are not dependent on other animals as food.(they prepare their own food)
Other organism like we, Humans prepare our food which is obtained from the other animals and plants in the form of Fats, Carbohydrates, Proteins etc.
These organism are dependent on other ones as their food. These are called Heterotrophs.
